Vicki Austin

Vicki Austin has 20 years' experience in the executive search field. Her early career began in technical information management roles with organisations such as Unilever Australia, the National Water Council in London and a construction materials company, BMI Limited.

In 1979, she established her own information management consultancy practice which prospered for 10 years. She then joined the financial services sector with NZI Group of Companies managing information resources for the insurance arm and the securities arm.

In 1990, Vicki began her career in the executive search and recruitment profession, joining international search company Amrop International (now part of Korn Ferry International) in a senior consulting role. In 1995, she joined a start-up executive search company, Grosvenor Stewart, and in 1998 started her own search partnership, Austin Condell.

In early 2004, she banded together with another long-term search consultant and former colleague to form a boutique executive search practice, Kennedy*Austin.

During her executive search and recruitment career, Vicki has successfully undertaken and completed a large number of senior search assignments in a diverse range of industries including healthcare, logistics and transport services, engineering, financial services, government, hospitality/tourism, consumer products/retail and technology-based industries.

Vicki is a member and NSW past president of Women Chiefs of Enterprises International. She has also been teaching part-time, for over eight years, in information science with the University of Technology Sydney (UTS).

Larry Little

Larry Little brings to executive search and recruitment over 24 years international experience working as a Chief Executive in Canada, New Zealand and Australia.

His breadth of experience ranges from early success as a Deputy Minister of a State Housing Corporation in Canada, to rejuvenating a research organisation in New Zealand, Chief of two Divisions of CSIRO followed by leadership of two joint ventures.

With a Master of Business Administration degree, his wide-ranging experience has created a critical understanding of the successful operation of organisations from a small start-up through to large business transformation.

This understanding includes Board responsibilities as recognised by his designation as a Fellow in the Australian Institute of Company Directors given his 16 appointments as a Director including venture capital driven start-ups.

An expert in community housing, business start-up, research leadership, mergers and joint venture management, Larry has an international business network across a wide diversity of industries including building and construction, manufacturing, water, forestry and forest products. Susan Kennedy

Susan Kennedy

Susan Kennedy has worked in the executive search field for over 20 years. After graduating with a Bachelor of Applied Science (Hons) at the University of NSW in 1972, she worked for five years as a Tutor with the School of Earth Sciences at Macquarie University, concurrently studying for a Master of Science. She then spent three years with a subsidiary of a US owned international commodity trading company, Continental Grain (Australia) Pty Limited as an Economist.

In 1980, Susan joined global executive search firm Russell Reynolds Associates Inc in their Hong Kong office in a research role. On moving back to Sydney, she joined international executive search firm, Amrop International (now part of Korn Ferry International) in a senior consulting role. In 1996, she was appointed a Director with the Australian arm of international search firm, Ward Howell International, later known as Watermark Search International.

Over the years, she has carried out a large number of executive search and recruitment assignments for mid to senior level executives in a wide cross-section of industries including banking and finance, insurance, utilities, engineering, technology, telecommunications, community welfare, building materials, transport, agribusiness and government.

From early 2001, Susan operated as an independent executive search consultant under the banner Kennedy Consulting, working for a small group of client firms. In early 2004, she banded together with another long-term search consultant to form a boutique executive search practice called Kennedy*Austin. Work has covered senior level executive search, advertised recruitment, internal recruitment during corporate restructurings and mergers, a commission for researching the audit and accounting profession following changes to governance rules, a board skills audit, and independent referencing work.

Judith Carpenter

Judith Carpenter

Judith Carpenter is the founding director of JCA and has over 25 years experience in human resources consulting, the recruitment and selection of senior executives and middle managers, and business development. Her early career was in the Commonwealth Public Service through the CES's Professional Employment Office. She went on to work for Arnotts Biscuits in a Human Resources role before joining a boutique management consulting firm. This led to work as a Manager in the consulting and recruitment practices of KPMG and Price Waterhouse (now PricewaterhouseCoopers).

In 1996 Judith established her own practice, focusing on the recruitment and selection of executives and middle managers, executive search for professional services firms at partner and director levels, and assisting organisations through major restructures through assessment centre methodology.

Judith has worked with leading Australian and multi-national companies in banking and finance, insurance, professional services, pharmaceutical, manufacturing, information technology, telecommunications, retail and business services sectors. She has worked extensively with local, state and federal government organisations as well as with the not-for-profit sector.

Judith Carpenter and Vicki Austin have worked collaboratively on a number of assignments over the last 10 years. Judith sits on the Boards of NSW's third largest aged care provider and a VET college providing business and child care programs for students wishing to articulate to university.
